The writer explains the case of two airline companies (British airways and Virgin Atlantic) in which some of their crew members had used social networks to describe customers with pejorative adjectives or said that them planes were infested with cockroaches.
For that reason, companies must educate their employees about the correct use of social networks. Airline companies say that they have a policy that forbids putting something about the company online, without authorisation and they have internal channels where staff can put nonconformities.
But this is not enough to make sure that employees will not publish anything, managers need to control social networks,internet.
